Yesterday, we had discussed one of the most important principles for success in life, that is Taking 100% responsibility for your life. If you have not read it, I recommend you to first read it before proceeding further. The link to the article is here.

Why and How of Everything we do

Today we will discuss another important principle for Success, you would have guessed it by the title of the article, yes it is the WHY and HOW of everything we do.

There are only 2 things in life, WHY to do? and HOW to do?

These two things are present in each and everything we do in our daily life but most of the time we don’t realize it and just go with the flow where life takes us.

We need to find our purpose(WHY) of life. Without a purpose in life, its easy to get sidetracked or get distracted on our life’s journey. Once we get distracted, we accomplish very little in life.

But with purpose, everything in life seems to fall into place. To be “on purpose” means we are doing what we love to do. By doing what we love to do, we never get bored and also achieve things that we had never thought of in our wildest of dreams. When we are truly on purpose, the people, resources, and opportunities naturally gravitate towards us. The world also benefits from our actions as our actions are in alignment with our true purpose of life.

Just finding our purpose(WHY) is not enough, but we need to find our WHY with deep clarity. Once we have a crystal clear picture of our WHY, HOW is easy to be attained because the WHY itself takes care of the HOW part. Our mind is programmed in such a way that once the purpose(WHY) is clear, our mind becomes restless and automatically starts thinking in that direction and triggers possible ways in order to achieve the purpose(WHY).

Everything we do in our life should take us a step closer to achieving our purpose in life.

For Example: If I want to get up early in the morning, the first Question which comes to my mind is WHY should I get up early? If my WHY is crystal clear and strong enough, it will drive me to get up early no matter how rainy or cold the weather is outside. If my WHY is not strong enough or I lack clarity, then a small hiccup like rainy weather is enough to derail me from getting up early. I have practically experienced this in my life. Hence I have taken this example so I learn to my WHY strong enough that it overcomes the small hiccups that occur.

Once we have determined and written down our life purpose, the next important step is to STAY ON THE PURPOSE. We will discuss this in my next post.
